Daniel Berenbaum

Daniel Berenbaum joins Auriga USA, LLC as a Managing Director. Mr. Berenbaum is the Director of Research and also covers semiconductor technology stocks. Prior to Auriga, Mr. Berenbaum was a senior sell-side analyst at Cowen and Company and Caris & Company, and covered semiconductor technologies on the sell side and on the proprietary trading desk at Susquehanna Financial Group. Mr. Berenbaum was also a member of the semiconductor equipment research teams at Citigroup and Deutsche Bank.

Mr. Berenbaum’s previous experience includes seven years in a variety of management, technical and customer support roles at Applied Materials, as well as five years of service as a Surface Line Officer in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Berenbaum received a B.S. in History from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, has published several technical papers, and is the holder of a U.S. patent. He holds the Series 7, 24, 63, 86, and 87 securities registrations

 

Chandan Sarkar

Chandan  Sarkar will be covering Telecom and Wireless stocks in the equity research department.

Prior to joining Auriga, Mr. Sarkar founded Balistes Capital Management, a hedge fund focused on the telecommunications industry.  Previously, he worked for PAW Partners, a billion dollar technology hedge fund in Greenwich, CT.  During the 1990’s Mr. Sarkar worked at SoundView Technology Group, a sell-side research boutique, as a Telecommunications Equipment Analyst.

Mr. Sarkar started his career in industry as a design engineer at AT&T Bell Laboratories.  He holds three patents in the telecommunications field.

 

Anthony Carbone

Tony Carbone joins Auriga USA, LLC as a Managing Director in the Equity Research Department covering communications and storage.

 

Prior to joining Auriga, Tony spent six years with RCM and had primary coverage of the data communications and semiconductor industries. Before RCM he spent three years with JPMorgan H&Q, initially as a telecom and data networking equipment analyst, and more recently as the senior analyst responsible for the communication component in the test and measurement space. Tony has over six years of experience as a Product Manager at Hitachi Semiconductor America and as a U.S. Army communications officer, where he was responsible for installation, engineering, and quality assurance for the Army's data communication systems in Europe. He also served as a U.S. Army field artillery platoon leader and as a design engineer at MITRE Corporation.

 

Tony received a BSEE and an MSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
